70s fashion inspiration

70s fashion inspiration is huge right now. Culottes (next on my must-have list), wide-leg trousers, hippie tops, head scarfs, clogs. All amazing and I am happy they are back in style. Partially because they give me a reason to wear the extra-long wide-leg trousers I found over a year ago (Hey, if you find something that is extra-long on someone with a 36 inseam you buy it!), but also because I love clogs. Since I don't have the ones I wore when I was younger I have been wanting new ones for some time now. Of course my mom found amazing ones that I love but was able to dangle them in front of me since they only had her size and not mine. So the search continued. Again to the amazing London Fashion Weekend. I found some very cute swedish made clogs that are not just fashionable, but a little different from the mass produced trend. They don't have big heels which is good since whenever I wear anything with a heel people constantly say, "why are you wearing those shoes? You are too tall." (I would prefer, "Wow, great shoes" but no...) So, slight platform is all. And they are amazingly gold. At first I thought I should go with brown, but then I realized, why? I love color and contrasting patterns, why not wear gold shoes? So here they are. Along with an amazing turban, again something I had been wanting for months but never found one just right for me.

Mine (you can see them by me in the next pic, I wasn't able to get them in the full body picture)

More of the turban look...

As the hubby says, "You're not a Brit unless you wear weird shit on your head."

More of that wide-leg trouser look...

Notice the length, they look best if you can't see your shoes. :)
